“This is the largest group of international students that we’ve had in the last 10 years, maybe longer.”

That’s how International Student Services Assistant Director Jacob Czelusta describes the 30 incoming students who were welcomed at a formal reception held at the Horizon Room of the Williams Center in mid-August.

With this new group joining our current student body, the only continent that is not represented on campus is Australia. We have students from almost every corner of the globe.” - Jacob Czelusta

Canada, with 10 students, is the most widely represented country, followed by India with five students. Other countries represented include China, France, Germany, Japan, Malaysia, Mexico, South Africa, South Korea, Syria and Taiwan.

With five students, Business Administration is the most popular major, followed closely by Computer Science with four. There are also four students – all from Canada – enrolled in the Speech-Language Pathology graduate program. Three students are seeking graduate degrees in Music Performance.

There are nine majors represented among the contingent, along with another nine students enrolled in the ESL program.

“With this new group joining our current student body, the only continent that is not represented on campus is Australia,” Czelusta noted. “We have students from almost every corner of the globe.”
