Fredonia State track and field continued improving across the board just one week out from the conference championships, adding several personal records at the April 29 St. John Fisher Cardinal Classic Invitational. 

"The team is in a great place, healthy and full of momentum" noted Head Coach Tom Wilson 

Nick Abdo continued continued to add to his impressive season with a personnel best in the 100m with a time 10.87. Abdo would go on to win the 100m event and his finish marks the sixth best finish in school history. Abdo would also compete in the 200m and finish with a mark of 22.34 which is ninth all time in school history. 

Cam Sample, also had a strong performance in the long jump, finishing with a personal best with a jump of 6.56m. Sample would also have a season best in the triple jump with a jump 13.12m. 

Toby Onuoha,  had a season best in the triple jump with a mark of 13.63m. 

In the 800m dash, we would see two personal bests for Sam Cottrell and Vincent Mendez. Cottrell would finish with a time of 2.00.96 and Mendez in 2.02.13. 

Runners Kyle Campbell and Pat Klinger earned personal best in the 1500m dash as well. Klinger would have a time 4:05.55 and Campbell would finish in 4:14.82.

The Fredonia State baseball team extended its win streak to four games with 10-4 and 5-4 wins over visiting Hilbert College on Monday. Christian Pagano connected for a two-run homerun in Game 1, his third in as many games. Alex Gannon added a two-run blast of his own in the opener.

Day 2 results at Cortland

The 4x100 relay team took third place, and turned in a AARTFC qualifying time on the second day of the Cortland Classic on Saturday. Jacob Winn -- a member of the relay team -- also turned in a third place in the finals of the 100m dash.

After qualifying for the finals on Friday, Cara Pellechia finished fourth in the 100m dash, and also turned in a fifth-place finish in the 200m for the top two finishes for the Fredonia State women's track and field team.
