Dynamic Intonation takes second place at ICCA quarterfinals

Members of Dynamic Intonation proudly display the second-place award they won at the International Championship of Collegiate A Cappella quarterfinals.

The SUNY Fredonia a cappella group Dynamic Intonation was awarded second place at the International Championship of Collegiate A Cappella (ICCA) Quarterfinals held at the University of Rochester on Saturday, Feb. 4.

Connor Raposa, a sophomore Acting major with a minor in dance, received an Outstanding Vocal Percussion Award for his work in the performance.

The 20-member group, whose repertoire includes pop, R&B and jazz, will advance in the competition to the semifinals at the University at Buffalo Center for the Arts on March 25. Follow their Instagram page, @di_fredonia for more information on ticket information for the coming event.

Yan Jiang named recipient of SUNY’s McConney award

Yan Jiang, a SUNY Fredonia sophomore double major in Public Accountancy and Business Administration-Finance, was one of 52 students from throughout the State University of New York selected to receive the Norman R. McConney Jr. Award for Student Excellence.
