Students will offer a community service as members of student clubs, athletes and other organizations participate in Saturday’s Fall Sweep.
Fall Sweep is a campus wide event where students volunteer to rake leaves at local residents’ homes while building teamwork within their groups. There are several ways clubs will participate, including raking leaves, distributing house flyers, or donating a basket or gift card for the event raffle.
Leaf rakers will spread out around the village of Fredonia from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. Student Association Community Relations President and organizer Sydney Smith noted that there are 15 clubs slated to participate so far and a total of 16 streets will be covered.
If any other clubs or students are interested in participating, they can email Sydney directly at Smit6579@fredonia.edu.
