Hockey players earn academic honors

Four members of the Fredonia State hockey team have have been named 2022-23 Krampade/American Hockey Coaches Association (AHCA) All-American Scholars. David Sudbrink earned a 4.0 for both the fall and spring semesters of his junior year. Dalton Jerzak capped his four-year career being named the Fredonia State Male Scholar Athlete of the Year as the graduating senior with the highest GPA.

Freshmen Parker James (3.91) and Ethan Pitzman (3.93) were also recognized.

The Fredonia State men's track and field team had its final tune-up before the SUNYAC meet, taking part in the University of Rochester Spring Twilight Meet. Quillan Shimp took the podium, finishing first place in the 400m hurdles.

Unified game a smashing success

On April 25, Dods Hall on the campus of SUNY Fredonia was home to the annual Dunkirk-Fredonia Unified Basketball Game. In front of a raucous crowd, the two teams battled it out for four quarters.

The Fredonia State baseball team extended its win streak to four games with 10-4 and 5-4 wins over visiting Hilbert College on Monday. Christian Pagano connected for a two-run homerun in Game 1, his third in as many games. Alex Gannon added a two-run blast of his own in the opener.
