A bonus mini job fair, Network on the Go, has been added to the always popular Activities Night to be held on Wednesday, Sept. 4, from 6:30 to 8 p.m., in the Dods Hall Grove.

“This is a great opportunity for students to talk informally to employers about internships, part-time jobs and career opportunities,” said Tracy Collingwood, director of the Career Development Office. “All students, first-year through senior year and beyond, are invited and encouraged to establish relationships with prospective employers.”

Tables staffed by employer representatives will be set up in high-traffic areas, near club tables.

Professional attire is not required for Network on the Go, however it’s strongly recommended that students come prepared with questions to ask employers. “This is an opportunity for students to represent themselves well as they begin establishing a professional connection to a future employer, site supervisor or mentor in the field,” Ms. Collingwood explained.

Sample questions to ask are available online at the CDO website.

Students are encouraged to pre-register at FREDNetwork powered by Handshake, at www.fredonia.edu/cdo

In case of rain, Activities Night and Network on the Go will be relocated to the Steele Hall Fieldhouse.
