A number of sprinters from the Fredonia State's men's team have been having a great deal of success this season. On Saturday's AARTFC Regional Meet, they had success as a group, taking first place in the 4x200 relay. Jordan Lockett, Cam Sample, Talon Rowland, and Aiden VanAmburg each ran a leg.
The team ran a 1:28.92, which bested second place SUNY Delhi's 1:29.54.
As an individual, Roland was sixth out of 39 runners in the 400m. He ran a personal best of 48.64s. The winning time was 47.50 by Geneseo's Jacob Miller.
Lockett finished fifth out of 20 sprinters in the men's 200m. He timed out in 22.01, just off the pace of the winning time of Rowan's Evan Corcoran at 21.72.
Cam Sample held out of the meet in the long jump since he has already qualified for the NCAA meet.
For the women, Emma Gassman was 29th in the 400m in 1:00.10, which was a personal best. Hazel Bache was 35th in 1:02.05. Gassman placed 19th out of 39 in the women's 200m in a time of 25.80.
Yauvani Liddelow was 19th in the triple jump. The freshman recorded a distance of 10.53m. The winning distance of 11.95m went to Marlyse Haak of Salisbury.
