After claiming the SUNYAC title in the long jump during last year's outdoor season, Fredonia State's Cam Sample repeated the feat at the SUNYAC Indoor Championships on Saturday.
The senior jumped 7.66m, surpassing the second-place finisher by .46m. Sample also scored points for the team in the 4x400 relay and just missed out on another point, finishing ninth in the 200m.
The Fredonia State men finished third place overall. They also earned points in the Battle by the Lake, finishing ahead of SUNY Buffalo State University, who finished seventh overall.
Dunkirk native Jordan Lockett had a third and fourth-place finish in the 200m and 60m, respectively.
Talon Rowland was second in the 400m, just .16 seconds off the pace.
