“Among the Hemlocks. Fantastic Stories from Fredonia, NY,” a documentary by Department of Communication Assistant Professor Roslin Smith, will be screened at the University Film and Video Association's 73rd annual conference in July at Augsburg University, Minneapolis.

The film uses historical photographs, newspaper clippings, re-enactments, interviews and voice-overs to bring to life humorous, strange and factual stories. It was one of 50 films chosen to be screened from among 2,500 entries.

The UFVA is an international organization, based in the United States, whose members include professors, scholars and film and video makers.
