Yet another post-season honor has been bestowed upon Fredonia State women's soccer player Lauren Cullinan.

The junior midfielder today was named to the United Soccer Coaches Scholar All-Region Team for the New York region. Her Second Team selection is her second academic-based award this off-season. In early November, she was named to the 2019 Academic New York All-District® Women's Soccer Team by the College Sports Information Directors of America. The double major -- Biology and Psychology -- carried a 3.81 grade-point average into the fall semester while also holding leadership roles on her team and on other campus groups.

Cullinan has also won two athletic-based awards this semester. She was selected First Team All SUNYAC -- her third straight year making the all-conference team -- in November. Then in early December, the United States Coaches -- a group comprised of college and high school coaches from across the country -- made Cullinan a Second Team 2019 NCAA Division III All-East Region selection. She is Fredonia State's first all-region player in five years.

A two-year captain with the Blue Devils, Cullinan is the daughter of Cheryl and Kevin Cullinan of Clarence.
