Fredonia State soccer is celebrating regional recognition, as three Blue Devils earned spots on the United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division III All‑Region III Teams.

Junior forward Gabby Irwin was named to the Second Team, senior defender Brooke Grazen earned Third Team honors, and sophomore defender Ryan Ameis represented the men's program with a Third Team selection.

Irwin's regional award recognizes her for becoming one of the most dangerous attacking players in the State University of New York Athletic Conference. She started all 20 games, scoring 7 goals and 9 assists for 23 points, which co‑led the team in scoring. She also led the entire SUNYAC in assists and broke Fredonia's career assist record with 25 — all while still having another year to play.

Head Coach Chris Case praised Irwin's impact. "Gabby was a threat every time she touched the ball for us," Case said. "She did a great job of creating and being dangerous in the final third. Her work ethic and athleticism put the opposing backs in difficult situations, and she did a fantastic job all season winning her battles."

Alongside Irwin, Grazen's honor came from anchoring the Blue Devils' back line. She started all 20 games, contributed 2 assists, and helped hold opponents to a 1.24 goals‑against average. She was also named First Team All‑SUNYAC, recognized for her ability to play both inside and outside defensive roles with equal effectiveness.

Case added: "Brooke was an anchor for our back line this year, taking on different roles playing both inside and outside and being extremely effective. She has worked extremely hard through her career, and it is great to see her close it out with such a great honor."

"I'm very excited," he concluded, "to see both Gabby and Brooke be recognized for their hard work and dedication."

On the men's side, Ameis appeared in 19 games, starting 18, and contributed 4 goals and 2 assists, including a game‑winning header in the SUNYAC Tournament. His postseason performance earned him Second Team All‑SUNYAC and a spot on the SUNYAC All‑Tournament Team, making him one of the most decorated sophomores in the region this year.

Head Coach P.J. Gondek emphasized Ameis's importance to the team. "This award is proof that Ryan Ameis is one of the top center backs in our region," Gondek said. "His play was a key to our run to the playoffs and our advancement in tournament play. When a sophomore receives three awards in the postseason, this sets your team up well for future success as a major part of our defensive foundation."
