Following its 22-10 season, the Fredonia women's volleyball team had a trio of players named to the All-Conference Team as announced by the SUNYAC on Tuesday.

A pair of outside hitters were named second team -- senior Kailey Falk (York, N.Y./Our Lady of Mercy) and junior SallyAnne Rudny (Jamestown/Southwestern). Third team was senior libero Rachel Aiello (Baldwinsville/C.W. Baker).

Falk returned to the All-Conference Second Team this season. She lead the SUNYAC with 71 aces, which is good enough for 14th nationally. Falk was also second on the team and sixth in the conference in kills (290); second on the team and 14th in the conference in kills per set (2.32); second on the team and fourth in the conference in total attacks (990); and second on the team and ninth in the conference in digs (355).

In her first year as a Blue Devil after a successful career at Jamestown Community College, Rudny led the SUNYAC in kills (371). She was fourth in the conference in kills per set (3.07); led the conference and ranked 16th nationally in total attacks (1229); and was third on the team and 11th in the conference in digs (338).

Aiello led the team and was second in the conference in digs (547). The defensive specialist also led the team and was third in the conference in digs per set (4.38).

The Blue Devils finished the regular season with a season 6-3 conference record and the No. 4 seed. They defeated Potsdam in the first round of the SUNYAC playoffs before falling to Geneseo in the SUNYAC semifinals.

"SallyAnne and Kailey were both six-rotation players for our team," said head coach Geoff Braun, "and while they contributed immensely on offense they also were an asset defensively and from the service line.  Rachel was the leader of the backcourt and was a very vocal force for our volleyball team.  I am very proud of all three of these young women for their All-SUNYAC recognition."
