The Fredonia State Blue Devils women's track and field team saw several athletes reach the podium at the Behrend Invite, highlighted by a record-setting performance in the field.

Cara Pellechia led the way for the Devils with a first-place finish in the pole vault, clearing 3.65 meters (11-11.75) to set a new program record.

On the track, Emma Gassman followed with a victory in the 400 meters (58.10), while Pellechia added another win in the 100 meters (12.55) to cap a standout day. Fredonia State added more podium finishes in the 200 meters, where Evelyn Zdrojewski placed second (29.11) and Olivia Hallenbeck finished third. In the hurdles, Hazel Bache took second in the 400-meter hurdles (1:06.79), while Emily Cardinale added a runner-up finish in the 100-meter hurdles (15.65). The distance group also contributed, as Emily Frank finished second in the 1500 meters (5:08.42) and Calie Hudson placed third.

In the field events, Fredonia State Yauvani Liddelow won the triple jump with a mark of 10.61 meters (34-9.75), while Brayton Tripi captured the long jump at 4.81 meters (15-9.25). Casey Fetzner added a pair of podium finishes, placing second in the hammer at 39.25 meters (128-9) and third in the shot put at 10.19 meters (33-5.25).

Fredonia State will return to action on Saturday, April 25, hosting the Blue Devil Invitational on campus — marking the program's first home meet in over 18 years.
