Bartlett doubles; Bilotti, Baumann win

Meghan Bartlett (Johnstown, N.Y./Johnstown), was a double-winner Saturday during Fredonia women's swimming and diving dual meet against Allegheny and Brockport.

Bartlett, now 18-2 on the season, scored 270.20 points off the 1-meter board and 277 points off the 3-meter board.

Fredonia's other first-pace finishers were sophomore Caroline Bilotti (Spring Lake, N.J./Manasquan) in the 200-yard breaststroke in 2:40.10 and freshman Alyson Baumann (North Tonawanda/Niagara-Wheatfield) in the 200-yard individual medley in 2:23.18.

It was the final home meet for three Fredonia seniors: Bartlett, fellow diver Sam Kowalewski (Cowlesville/Attica), and freestyler Chelsea Spiegel (Spencerport/Spencerport).

The Blue Devils close out the regular season next Saturday at Cortland.

The 4 x 100 relay team of Cameron Sample, Jordan Lockett, Jacob Winn, and Nick Marsowicz set a new Fredonia State outdoor record, finishing the race in 42.19 seconds. It was a regional-qualifying time, and .17 seconds behind the first-place Cortland team.

For the fourth time in four tries, pole vaulter Cara Pellechia can call herself a SUNYAC Champion. Pellechia cleared 3.50m to take the outdoor title at the SUNYAC Meet on Friday.
