Bartlett finishes 3rd in NCAA 3-meter; All-American

SHENANDOAH, Texas -- Fredonia senior Meghan Bartlett (Johnstown, N.Y./Johnstown) finished third Wednesday in women's 3-meter springboard diving at the NCAA Division III Swimming & Diving championship meet.

After moving up from fifth after preliminaries, Bartlett recorded 481.05 points for 11 dives. It resulted in her fifth All-American award over the past three seasons.

It was the second straight year Bartlett finished third in the 3-meter. Last year, she scored 454.45 points. She was also sixth in the event in 2015 with 442.20 points.

She will compete in the 1-meter on Friday afternoon

Maura Sticco-Ivins of Wellesley won Wednesday's final with 504.00 points. Nickie Griesser of Ithaca was second with 497.20 points.

The other five finalists were Vivian Zhou of MIT, Sarah Hayhurst of Centre College, Arianna Ross of Williams, Kayley Alioto of Wisconsin-La Crosse, and Agnes Lo of the University of Chicago.
