Bartlett fourth in NCAA 1-meter

Fredonia senior Meghan Bartlett (Johnstown, N.Y./Johnstown) finished fourth on Friday in women's 1-meter springboard diving at the NCAA Division III Swimming and Diving Championship meet.

After taking first in the preliminary round, Bartlett finished with a score of 432.05. It completed a sweep of six All-American awards in her three-year career at Fredonia.

Wellesley's Maura Sticco-Ivins won the event with a score of 475.40. Centre's Sarah Hayhurst was second (445.75) and MIT's Vivian Zhou was third (434.80).

Arron Carlson (LeRoy/Notre Dame) will compete in the men's 3-meter springboard diving championship on Saturday.

The 4 x 100 relay team of Cameron Sample, Jordan Lockett, Jacob Winn, and Nick Marsowicz set a new Fredonia State outdoor record, finishing the race in 42.19 seconds. It was a regional-qualifying time, and .17 seconds behind the first-place Cortland team.

For the fourth time in four tries, pole vaulter Cara Pellechia can call herself a SUNYAC Champion. Pellechia cleared 3.50m to take the outdoor title at the SUNYAC Meet on Friday.
