Blue Devil divers win titles at SUNYAC championships

Sophomore John Estanislau was part of two more school records Saturday at the SUNYAC championship meet.

Women's swimming and diving SUNY FredoniaThe women's team achieved its highest finish in the history of the program.  

 Women's Team:  

The Fredonia State women finished second at the SUNYAC Swimming and Diving championship meet which ended Saturday night at the Erie Community College's Burt Flickinger Center.

It was the highest finish in the history of the women's program. Read more>>

Men's team:

Fredonia State junior Ryan Fuller (Endicott) swept the 2012 SUNYAC diving titles following his 3-meter victory Saturday night. Fuller earned 512.65 points to win the competition by 16 points. He also won the 1-meter championship Thursday. Sophomore John Estanislau was the top swimmer for all three days. Read more>>

Relay sets school mark

The 4 x 100 relay team of Cameron Sample, Jordan Lockett, Jacob Winn, and Nick Marsowicz set a new Fredonia State outdoor record, finishing the race in 42.19 seconds. It was a regional-qualifying time, and .17 seconds behind the first-place Cortland team.

Pellechia earns fourth SUNYAC title

For the fourth time in four tries, pole vaulter Cara Pellechia can call herself a SUNYAC Champion. Pellechia cleared 3.50m to take the outdoor title at the SUNYAC Meet on Friday.
