Highlights from the University of Rochester Spring Invitational on Saturday:

Among the Fredonia women, sophomore Brittany Feldman (Jamestown/Southwestern) moved to second all-time in the 100 meters on the Blue Devil career list (12.36 seconds) and finished second overall. She also won the 200-meter dash in 25.41 seconds.

In the 10,000 meters, juniors Kelly Vincent (Randolph/Randolph) and Rebekah Champlin (Rushville/Rushville) ran into the Top 10 all-time. Vincent was second and Champlin third, respectively, in times of 41:02.64 and 41:22.22.

In the steeplechase, freshman Brenna Donovan (Youngstown/Lewiston-Porter) finished fourth in a personal-best of 12:11.73. She put her name at No. 6 on the Fredonia career list.

In the pole vault, sophomore Mikayla Capestrani (Jamestown/Jamestown) finished third with a clearance of 3.07 meters.

Sophomore thrower Rachel Williams (Lockport/Lockport) finished second in the hammer throw with a PR of 41.03 meters and fourth in the shot put at 11.32 meters.

On the men's side, sophomore Damone Brown (Haverstraw/North Rockland) won the shot put with a toss of 35.73 meters, while sophomore Chase Towse (East Northport/Northport) finished third overall in the 400 meters in 57.74 seconds.

Relay sets school mark

The 4 x 100 relay team of Cameron Sample, Jordan Lockett, Jacob Winn, and Nick Marsowicz set a new Fredonia State outdoor record, finishing the race in 42.19 seconds. It was a regional-qualifying time, and .17 seconds behind the first-place Cortland team.

Pellechia earns fourth SUNYAC title

For the fourth time in four tries, pole vaulter Cara Pellechia can call herself a SUNYAC Champion. Pellechia cleared 3.50m to take the outdoor title at the SUNYAC Meet on Friday.
