Carlson takes 4th in NCAA 1-meter; All-American

SHENANDOAH, Tex. -- Arron Carlson (LeRoy/Notre Dame) finished fourth Thursday in men's 1-meter springboard diving at the NCAA Division III Swimming and Diving championship meet.

Carlson's score of 492.90 earned him his third All-American honor in two years. He finished second in the preliminary rounds of the event earlier on Thursday with a score of 485.25. Denison's Max Levy won the event with a score of 553.45.

Carlson will return for the 3-meter springboard event on Saturday. Fellow senior Meghan Bartlett (Johnstown, N.Y./Johnstown) will compete in the women's 1-meter springboard event on Friday.
