Computer Science Professor Zubairi authors new book on cyber security

SUNY Fredonia Computer Science Professor Junaid Zubairi edited with Athar Mahboub a new book on cyber security. “Cyber Security Standards, Practices and Industrial Applications: Systems and Methodologies” serves as an essential reference to students, researchers, practitioners and consultants in the area of social media, cyber security and information and communication technologies (ICT).

Cyber security, which encompasses both information and network security, is of utmost importance in today’s information age. It is one of the hottest topics being discussed within the computer science discipline and covers security issues relating to social media such as Facebook, Twitter and other messaging systems.

Dr. Zubairi has been a member of SUNY Fredonia since 1999 and holds a doctorate in computer engineering at Syracuse University. His book is published by IGI Global Publishers, a leading international publishing company specializing in scholarly research publications and databases covering all aspects of information science technology utilization and management.
