Concerto Competition winner to perform with chamber orchestra

Fredonia School of Music Concerto Competition winner Lucia E.S. Helgren will perform on Wednesday, Nov. 30, at 8 p.m., in Rosch Recital Hall with the Fredonia Chamber Orchestra.

Ms. Helgren will perform "O luce di quest'anima" from “Linda di Charmounix” by Gaetano Donizetti and "Caro Nome" from “Rigoletto” by Giuseppe Verdi.

The program, to be conducted by Dr. David Rudge and Spencer Zembrodt, will also include the “String Serenade” by Tchaikovsky and Mozart's masterful Symphony No. 40 in g minor.

Helgren is a senior at Fredonia with a double major in Vocal Performance and Arts Administration. Her studio teacher is Distinguished Teaching Professor Julie Newell.

The concert is free and the public is invited to attend.
