Fredonia women's volleyball improved to 16-6 with a pair of 3-0 wins Saturday at Dods Hall.

The Blue Devils first made quick work of SUNY Canton, 25-13, 25-14 and 25-21 in a morning match, then disposed of Houghton in the afternoon 25-13, 25-14 and 25-21.

Against SUNY Canton, Kailey Falk (York, N.Y./Our Lady of Mercy) led Fredonia with 11 kills, and Emma Booth (Hamburg/Frontier) added eight kills. Rachel Aiello (Baldwinsville/C.W. Baker) and Kaitlin Patt (Spencerport/Spencerport) had four service aces each. Aiello added 14 digs.

Against Houghton, Kailey Falk had eight kills, Booth six kills, and Emma Falk (York, N.Y./Our Lady of Mercy) and SallyAnne Rudny (Jamestown/Southwestern) had four kills each without a hitting error. Amanda Mosack (Webster/Webster Schroeder) had 19 assists to go along with 16 assists in the SUNY Canton match. Rudny and Aiello had 14 digs and 12 digs, respectively, while Emma Falk was credited with eight blocks -- five solos and three assists.

The Blue Devils close out the home portion of the regular season Tuesday when they take on Rochester Institute of Technology. The 6 p.m.. match will be preceded by Senior Night festivities.

The Fredonia State baseball team extended its win streak to four games with 10-4 and 5-4 wins over visiting Hilbert College on Monday. Christian Pagano connected for a two-run homerun in Game 1, his third in as many games. Alex Gannon added a two-run blast of his own in the opener.
