Dobson wins SUNYAC breaststroke championship

Larissa Dobson (Hamburg, N.Y./Eden) is now a SUNYAC champion. On Saturday evening Dobson, a senior, won the 200-yard breaststroke with a time of 2:23.07. She broke her own school record in the earlier preliminaries with a time of 2:22.83, registering an NCAA provisional qualifier. The women's swimming and diving team finished fourth out of nine teams at SUNYAC Championships with a total team score of 430 points.

The Fredonia State baseball team extended its win streak to four games with 10-4 and 5-4 wins over visiting Hilbert College on Monday. Christian Pagano connected for a two-run homerun in Game 1, his third in as many games. Alex Gannon added a two-run blast of his own in the opener.

Day 2 results at Cortland

The 4x100 relay team took third place, and turned in a AARTFC qualifying time on the second day of the Cortland Classic on Saturday. Jacob Winn -- a member of the relay team -- also turned in a third place in the finals of the 100m dash.
