EAP to offer a wide array of programs, services during the spring semester

The start of the spring semester ushers in a new round of programs and services offered by the Employee Assistance Program to Fredonia faculty and staff, their family members and retirees of the university.

The offerings encompass assessment, resource information, referral services and assorted wellness events. The programs and services, offered at no charge, include:

• Healthy cooking demonstrations -- first Thursday of each month at noon (Feb. 2, March 2, April 6, May 4 and June 1), Horizon Room, Williams Center;
• ZUMBA -- Mondays and Wednesdays of each week at noon, with Department of Theatre and Dance Professor Paul Mockovak, Dods Hall gym;
• Midday yoga -- Tuesdays at 12:30 p.m., Fridays at noon, with Susan Murphy, Dods Hall dance studio;
• Tai chi -- Mondays and Wednesdays, beginning Wednesday, Feb. 1, 1:10 to 2 p.m., with Sandra Lewis, Reed Library Room 129.
• Book Club -- Feb. 9, 23, March 9 and 23, at noon, Tower Lounge, Carnahan Jackson Center for Learning and Scholarship;
• Path to Wellness -- March 16 and May 18, at noon, Williams Center Room G103B; and,
• Spring to Wellness -- April 20, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., sponsored by Brooks Memorial Hospital, United University Professions (UUP) and the Civil Service Employees Association (CSEA), Williams Center Multipurpose Room.
