Dr. Ellen Litwicki of the history department is presenting a talk at Bard Graduate Center in New York on Oct. 6. The talk is titled "Christmas Gifting: Rituals of Affection and Commerce," and it is in conjunction with an exhibition at the Bard Gallery, "American Christmas Cards, 1900-1960."  

Dr. Litwicki teaches American history. Her research focuses on the history and significance of American cultural rituals of the late nineteenth and twentieth centuries.
