Ethos concert to celebrate members' talent

Ethos New Music Society presents "PAST. PRESENT. FUTURE." on Monday, April 21st in Rosch Recital Hall at 8 p.m. The concert will be a celebration of Ethos alumni, current members, and the introduction of the winners of the First Annual Ethos Young Composers Composition Competition.  Admission is free and open to the public.  

Ethos is a student-administrated organization responsible for the presentation of four concerts each season, symposia featuring visiting composers, and field trips to hear new music in surrounding cities.  Ethos is committed to the promotion of 20th and 21st century music in Fredonia, including both standard repertoire and compositions by student and faculty composers.  Sponsored by the Student Association, Ethos has, since its founding in 1977, actively encouraged the production of new music including the presentation of visiting composers and performers of national and international reputation.  In 2006, Ethos’ contributions were recognized for their excellence in the creative arts.  2007-2008 marks Ethos’ 31st season of active support of new music in Western New York.
