Finnish composer spotlighted at Oct. 13 concert

A Celebration of Kaija Saariaho: Natasha Farny and Friends is slated for Tuesday, Oct. 13 at 8 p.m. in Rosch Recital Hall. Featured performers include the Fredonia Cello Choir, the ANA Trio, School of Music Lecturer Paul Coleman and cellist Dr. Natasha Farny.

Faculty and students from the School of Music will perform three compositions by the original and imaginative Finnish composer Kaija Saariaho. Between each piece, composer Mr. Coleman will offer brief remarks on Saariaho's compositional language and unique use of instruments. The event is free and open to all campus and community members.
