Internship program wins state council award

Tracy Collingwood, director of Career Development, will be presenting an overview of SUNY Fredonia's internship program at a conference for the Council of Chief Student Affairs Officers and the College Student Personnel Association of New York State in October.  Fredonia's internship program, executed by Ms. Collingwood and her staff, was one of five that won an award as "Outstanding Student Affairs Program" from the council this year.

Fredonia appoints two associate provosts

The State University of New York at Fredonia announces the appointments of Dr. Judith Horowitz as associate provost for Graduate Studies, Sponsored Research and Faculty Development, and Dr. Lisa Hunter as associate provost for Curriculum, Assessment and Academic Support. Both have extensive experience in higher education administration as well as the Greater Buffalo region.

Fredonia adds former Cliffstar headquarters to enhance Start-Up NY appeal

The Fredonia College Foundation has been gifted the 25,000-square-foot office building that served as headquarters for the Cliffstar Corporation prior to its sale to The Cott Corporation in 2010. The facility, a gift of the Star Family, was formally appraised in late 2013 as having a value of $1.65 million. University officials hope it will greatly enhance Fredonia's appeal for potential Start-Up NY entrepreneurs.
