Jones takes three individuals

Graham Jones (Tonawanda/Kenmore East) won three individual events as the men's swimming and diving team competed at Cortland on Feb. 4.

Jones won the 1,000-yard freestyle (10:28.90), the 100-yard freestyle (50.55), and the 500-yard freestyle (5:06.07).

Jake Favret (Watertown/Watertown) won the 100- and 200-yard breast strokes in (1:00.72) and (2:16.37), respectively.

Single winners included Bill Bradley (Dunkirk/Dunkirk) in the 100-yard butterfly (54.74) and Troy Lubanski (Leicester, N.Y. / York) in the 200-yard IM (2:01.62).

Arron Carlson (LeRoy/Notre Dame) continued his domination on the diving board. He took the 1-meter board with a score of 333.80, a total of 17.10 points better than runner-up Wade Lee of Cortland.

Carlson (332.45) topped Lee (325.95) on the 3-meter board.

Cortland won the team score 150-148.

This was the final tune up for the team before competing at the SUNYAC Championships beginning on Feb. 15 in Buffalo.

The Fredonia State baseball team extended its win streak to four games with 10-4 and 5-4 wins over visiting Hilbert College on Monday. Christian Pagano connected for a two-run homerun in Game 1, his third in as many games. Alex Gannon added a two-run blast of his own in the opener.

Day 2 results at Cortland

The 4x100 relay team took third place, and turned in a AARTFC qualifying time on the second day of the Cortland Classic on Saturday. Jacob Winn -- a member of the relay team -- also turned in a third place in the finals of the 100m dash.
