Fredonia’s Emily Cummiskey (Sr.; Clarence, N.Y.) won the long jump (5.25 meters/17 feet, 2.75 inches) Saturday at the Brockport Golden Eagle Run, and finished third in the triple jump (11.0 meters/36 feet, 1.25 inches). She qualified for the upcoming ECAC Division III championship meet in both events.

Kayleigh Wasielewski (So.; West Seneca, N.Y.) was the winner of the high jump at 1.55 meters (5 feet, 1 inch), which equaled her personal-best effort, No. 6 on Fredonia’s Top 10 outdoor list.

In addition, Fredonia sprinters Laura Morrison (So.; Wethersfield, Conn.) and Anna Dambacher (So.; Divernon, Ill.) lowered their personal-best 400-meter times.

Morrison won the event in 59.63 seconds to trim .17 seconds off her previous PR, while Dambacher finished second in 59.69 seconds, which is .57 seconds faster than she has gone before. Those times are No. 3 and No. 4, respectively, on Fredonia’s all-time Top 10 outdoor 400-meter performance list.

Fredonia’s other first-place runner was Anna Hourihan (Sr.; Buffalo, N.Y.), who covered 5,000 meters in 18:48.87. Blue Devil teammate Becca List (Sr.; Hilton, N.Y.) finished second in 19:03.76, while Alissa Conti (Sr.; Fredonia, N.Y.) was fourth.

In other running events, Lauren Kotas (So.; Lancaster, N.Y.) was second in the 800 meters (2:25.85); Alexis Perez (Sr.; Hamburg, N.Y.) was third in the 200 meters (27.93 seconds); and Devinne Arnold (Fr.; Cuba, N.Y.) was fourth in the 100 meters (13.24 seconds) and fourth in the 200 meters (28.25 seconds).

On the men’s side, four won individual events Saturday at Brockport as well.  Chris Shartrand (Jr.; Ballston Spa, N.Y.) and Collin Mulcahy (So.; Batavia, N.Y.) won running events. Ben Goebel (Sr.; Victor, N.Y.) and Hsin Chin (So.; Pleasant View, N.Y.) were the top collegiate finishers in field events.

Shartrand led a 1-3-4 finish by Fredonia in the 3,000-meter steeplechase with a winning time of 9:54.15. Jed Kovalovsky (Jr.; Owego, N.Y.) finished third and Jesse Mintz (Sr.; Ontario, N.Y.) was fourth. Mulcahy's win came in the 800 meters in 1:56.93, while teammate Pat Shenal (Fr.; Henrietta, N.Y.) finished third.

Brian Ogilvie (Sr.; East Aurora, N.Y.) had a good all-around meet. He was second in the 200 meters (23.42 seconds), third in the long jump (6.43 meters/21 feet, 1.25 inches), and fifth in the 100 meters. Jeremy Kozlowski (So.; Dunkirk, N.Y.) was fourth in the 200 and sixth in the 100.

In the field events, Goebel equaled his personal-best in the pole vault -- No. 7 on Fredonia’s all-time outdoor performance list -- with a clearance of 4.35 meters (14 feet, 3.25 inches). Chin placed his name at No. 10 on the list with a hammer throw of 49.13 meters (161 feet, 2 inches), an ECAC-qualifying throw. Each man finished behind an unattached entrant, yet ahead of all other men competing for collegiate teams.

The Blue Devils now move to the championship portion of their outdoor season, beginning with the SUNYAC meet Friday and Saturday at Geneseo.
