SUNY Fredonia has been named one of the “25 Best College Values Under $30,000 a Year” by the editors of Kiplinger’s Personal Finance magazine.

In addition to being positioned near the middle of Kiplinger’s rankings, in 13th place, SUNY Fredonia is ranked ahead of three other SUNY schools -- New Paltz, Oneonta and Geneseo – on the list released in March.

“SUNY is proud to offer a world-class higher education at a price that students and their families can afford,” said SUNY Chancellor Nancy L. Zimpher. “Congratulations to SUNY Fredonia on this much-deserved recognition, which is an affirmation of its outstanding quality and a reflection of our system-wide commitments to access and affordability.”

The “25 Best College Values Under $30,000 a Year” list is part of Kiplinger’s new College Finder tool, which complements Kiplinger’s Personal Finance magazine’s annual Best Values in Public Colleges and Best Values in Private Colleges.

The recognition by Kiplinger’s follows SUNY Fredonia being ranked 14th in the North among top public universities by U.S. News & World Report last fall and 60th in its much larger “Best Regional Universities” list comprised of public and private colleges.
