Laura Morrison (Wethersfield, Conn./Wethersfield) added another school recod to her resume while competing Saturday in the Brockport Golden Eagle Invitational.

Morrison, a senior, covered the 1,000 meters in 2:55.68. In addition to setting a school record and winning the race, Morrison's time broke the track record of 3:02.57 set by Fredonia alum Kim Foltz two years ago. Foltz also held the previous Blue Devil school record.

It was the third indoor school record Morrison has set this month. Her previous records came in the 800 meters and the mile. She set the Fredonia indoor 600-meter record in February 2015.

Other meet highlights:

Brittany Feldman (Jamestown/Southwestern), a sophomore, won the 400 meters in 58.68 seconds and set a personal-best in the 200 meters in 26.11 seconds, finishing third in a field of 56 runners. Feldman's 400-time was .15 of one second off her own school record, set earlier this month. She also set the 300-meter school record in December.

In the mile run, freshman Hannah Kurbs (Lockport/Lockport) was second in the mile in 5:19.67 and freshman Stephanie Wojnowski (Rochester, N.Y./Eastridge) was fourth in 5:24.47.

Two juniors, Julia Johnson (Baldwinsville, N.Y./C.W. Baker) and Kara Hall (Bergen, N.Y./Byron-Bergen), tied for fourth in the 3,000 meters when they crossed the line in identical times of 11:07.71. Maddie Courtney (Getzville/Williamsville South), a junior, was sixth, two seconds back of her teammates.

Bonnie Binggeli (Walworth/Gananda), a junior, finished third in the 800 meters in 2:23.18.

In field events, sophomore Sarah Couperus (Marion, N.Y./Marion) was the first collegiate woman in the high jump – third overall – with a clearance of 1.58 meters. She also established a personal-best in the triple jump with 10.71 meters to finish fifth.

The quartet of sophomore Kristen Sawyer (Lockport/Lockport), sophomore Mikayla Capestrani (Jamestown/Jamestown), sophomore Julia Schreier (Lockport/Starpoint), and Olivia Kurbs (Lockport/Lockport) finished in succession in the pole vault. Sawyer cleared 3.35 meters to finish second with fewer misses than Capestrani, who also clearned 3.35 meters. Schreier and Kurbs each cleared 3.20 meters with the same number of misses, tying for fourth.

Senior thrower Brianne Paganello (Batavia/Batavia) was sixth in the shot put at 11.79 meters.
