New faculty and staff will be introduced Friday

The campus community will come together for the first time this semester at the traditional All-Campus Meeting called by President Dennis L. Hefner for Friday, Aug. 25, at 9 a.m. in Rosch Recital Hall. The one-hour meeting will include introductions of their new employees by each of the four vice presidents, and the presentation of SUNY Chancellor's Awards.

History Professor Thomas E. Morrissey will be honored for his 2006 appointment by the SUNY Board of Trustees as a Distinguished Teaching Professor.

New faculty photos will be taken before the meeting outside Rosch Recital Hall, starting at 8 a.m. Appointments are requested by calling 716-673-3323.

President Hefner will present Chancellor's Awards for Excellence to English Professor Aimee C. Nezhukumatathil, Music Professor Karolyn Stonefelt, and former Residence Life Director Harry W. Watters (see the news release).

A reception will immediately follow the meeting.

Two separate wellness workshops – one for faculty about how to manage burnout and another for students about staying joyful while studying or teaching what they love – will be presented at SUNY Fredonia by Dr. Merideth Hite Estevez on Friday, Oct. 27.
