Spontaneous Productions is celebrating its eighth year with another “on the fly” event.

Once every semester, Spontaneous Productions recruits actors, writers, directors, and technicians who collaborate to write, rehearse, and perform original one-act plays in the span of just 24 hours.

Each production has its own story line. The writers were given the overarching theme “With great power comes…” The performances will take place on Saturday, Feb. 11 at 8 p.m. in McEwen Hall Room 209.

The Interactive Theatre Society, which hosts Spontaneous Productions, is a student theatre group who organizes several other events on campus throughout the academic year, such as the Halloween-themed “Terror in the Trees” and “Quarantine.” Students of all majors and class standing are invited to participate in the Interactive Theatre Society as well as Spontaneous Productions.

The event is free of charge and open to the public. For information or questions regarding Spontaneous Productions and or the Interactive Theatre Society, contact Nicholas Williams via email or at (315) 525-4567.
