Working under the supervision of Dr. Ivani Vassoler-Froelich of the Political Science Department, who mentored their research projects, two SUNY Fredonia students, Dawn-Chamane Bush and Lorena Holguin-Gomez, presented papers at the annual conference of the Mid Atlantic Council of Latin American Studies in March at the John Hopkins University in Baltimore. Their travel was supported by SUNY Fredonia's OSCAR program.

Dawn-Chamane Bush (sophomore, majoring in International Studies and minoring in anthropology) presented, "The North-American Free Trade Agreement and its Impact on Rural Mexico."

Lorena Holguin-Gomez (majoring in communications and minoring in political science) presented
"The Organization of American States: A Noble Attempt or a Failure?"

Both are presenting their research again at the SUNY Fredonia Student Research Expo on April 27.
