President Hefner wins Leader of the Year Award

The Chautauqua Leadership Network has selected Dr. Dennis L. Hefner, president of SUNY Fredonia, as the recipient of its 2011 Leader of the Year Award.

As president of the campus for the last 15 years, Hefner has worked diligently to increase the university’s enrollment, enhance the quality of its programs and positively impact local communities through civic engagement and economic development.

Dr. Hefner was chosen from a pool of nominees who have made contributions for the betterment of the community that go above and beyond the call for their respective careers or mission of their employer. The award acknowledges activities during the past year that have advanced the vision and mission of CLN. Hefner will be the 14th recipient of the honor.

The award dinner will be held June 22 in the Cranston Marche on campus.
