More an 350 students from SUNY Fredonia raised $3,569.19 for the Women and Children’s Hospital of Buffalo by selling the 2008 Kids Day edition of The Buffalo News recently.  Involvement from SUNY Fredonia is coordinated by the Office of Residence Life each year.

A total of 24 different campus groups, including the residence halls, sold the newspapers around campus entrances and in the village.

The 24-year-old public service by The Buffalo News has raised more than $3 million and supported the Robert Warner Center for Children with Special Needs, the Variety Club Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and, most recently, the Variety Kids Telethon Inpatient Pharmacy.

The Kids Day issue, which is sold for $1 rather than the usual 50 cents, features patient success stories.
