Each semester, the SUNY Fredonia School of Music showcases the vast talent of its faculty. In October, the campus and community are invited for a festive program featuring several members of the music faculty, including voice professor Shinobu Takagi with pianist Jannis Peterson; a chamber ensemble with oboe professors Sarah Hamilton and Mark DuBois, bassoon professor Laura Koepke, piano professor Jonathan Mann on harpsichord, and bass professor Harry Jacobson; voice faculty member Lynne McMurtry performing with David Rose, viola, and Jonathan Mann, piano; and a jazz ensemble with faculty members Bruce Johnstone, Phil Tappan, Harry Jacobson and John Bacon. Jonathan Mann will also perform on solo piano.

“This Faculty Showcase has it all,” said Laura Koepke, bassoon professor and Faculty Showcase coordinator. “We will have music from the baroque to the 21st century; from both the east and west; from Brahms to PDQ Bach; performed by faculty from all areas of the School of Music.”
