Take me to Fredonia Live

Fredonia, N.Y. — November 13, 2008 — SUNY Fredonia has launched a new page within its Admissions website, called “Fredonia Live,” which includes a series of short videos by current students who talk about their "Fredonia experience."

The short clips are approximately 90 seconds in length. Liam O'Boyle, a TV and film major, did the filming. Music was engineered by Tim Riley, a sound recording engineer major.

The students featured are Ciara O'Neil Mendoza (music performance), Patrick Newell (Campus Life), Julie Graham (biology), Autumn Stein (acting), Justine Januszkiewicz (public relations), Katie Tarnowski (childhood education), Nick Mahoney (study abroad), Jasmine Ranjitsingh (multicultural affairs), Kaleena and Kayleigh Goldsworthy (music business), Brian Moe (dance), and John Mackowiak (radio production).

The students and recent graduates discuss a variety of majors and topics in their videos. Vice President for Student Affairs David Herman said, "Fredonia’s most talented student actors, directors and musicians contributed to the site."

Preparations for Fredonia Live began in 2006 as an ambitious, low-budget collaboration between the offices of Student Affairs, Academic Affairs and University Advancement. The project is expected to continue well into the future, adding new videos on different topics each semester.

Fredonia Live will aid prospective students and the Admissions Office.
