Tennis tops Brockport

The Fredonia women's tennis team upped its mark to 3-1 with s decisive 7-2 triumph at Brockport on Saturday. The Devils swept all three double matches, and took the top four singles matches.

Anna Chiacchia (Hamburg/Hamburg), Olivia Miller (Springwater/Wayland-Cohocton), Sarah Bunk (Sayville/Sayville), and Adriana Speach (Baldwinsville/C.W. Baker) each won both the doubles and singles matches.

The Devils will take on Alfred University on Tuesday.

Relay sets school mark

The 4 x 100 relay team of Cameron Sample, Jordan Lockett, Jacob Winn, and Nick Marsowicz set a new Fredonia State outdoor record, finishing the race in 42.19 seconds. It was a regional-qualifying time, and .17 seconds behind the first-place Cortland team.

Pellechia earns fourth SUNYAC title

For the fourth time in four tries, pole vaulter Cara Pellechia can call herself a SUNYAC Champion. Pellechia cleared 3.50m to take the outdoor title at the SUNYAC Meet on Friday.
