Sweazy also led the Devils with three steals.

The Devils built a modest 14-10 lead after the first quarter, then opened up with a 7-0 run to start the second quarter. Then with 6:33 left in the second, the Devils' lead was 24-14. From that point, they would go on a 10-0 run. Threes by Cheatham and Jamie Curry and a pair of layups by Macaulay accounted for the offense and a 34-14 advantage.

The second half was evenly played, with Fredonia outscoring the hosts, 33-32.

Fredonia's biggest lead of 24 came at the 7:33 mark of the third. A three by Cheatham and layup by Sweazy on consecutive possessions put the Devils up 48-24.

Offensively, the Devils shot 51 percent from the field and were six of 15 on three pointers. They were 16 of 24 (67 percent) from the free-throw line. Potsdam was limited to 30 percent shooting, including seven of 25 from long range. They hit on seven of 11 free throws.
