Williams has two PRs, Feldman makes 800 list

In her first-ever outdoor 800-meter run, Fredonia junior Brittany Feldman (Jamestown) put her name on the Blue Devils' all-time Top 10 list.

Feldman finished in 2:20.08, good for the No. 6 spot on the list, during Sunday's Nazareth Roc City Classic. She finished sixth in the event.

Two of Feldman's teammates had personal-bests in the 800: Bonnie Binggeli (Walworth) in 2:23.22, and Carly DeBono (Medford) in 2:29.36, Personal-bests in the 1,500 meters were run by Hannah Kurbs (Lockport), Stephanie Wojnowski (Rochester), and Brenna Donovan (Youngstown, N.Y.) with times of 4:56.36, 5:00.96, and 5:07.09, respectively.

In addition, Kelly Vincent (Randolph) ran a personal-best 19:42.06 in the 5,000 meters.

In throwing events, Rachel Williams had personal-bests in the hammer throw (41.37 meters) and the discus (33.85 meters); Meghan Bartlett (Johnstown) had a personal-best in the shot put (10.0 meters); and Naji McCallar (Buffalo) had a personal-best in the hammer throw (38.01 meters).

The 4 x 100 relay team of Cameron Sample, Jordan Lockett, Jacob Winn, and Nick Marsowicz set a new Fredonia State outdoor record, finishing the race in 42.19 seconds. It was a regional-qualifying time, and .17 seconds behind the first-place Cortland team.

Pellechia earns fourth SUNYAC title

For the fourth time in four tries, pole vaulter Cara Pellechia can call herself a SUNYAC Champion. Pellechia cleared 3.50m to take the outdoor title at the SUNYAC Meet on Friday.
