Annual Wellness Fair set for this Thursday

The Employee Assistance Program (EAP) at SUNY Fredonia is hosting its annual Wellness Fair on Thursday, March 26 from 10:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. in the Williams Center Multipurpose Room.  This year's event will include approximately 60 local health and wellness vendors . Refreshments, giveaways and door prizes will be provided to attendees, as well as free blood pressure, glucose, cholesterol, vision, and carpal tunnel screenings. Three group presentations will also be offered during the Fair on the topic of NYS Deferred Compensation Plan, Identity Theft, and Pearl Carroll & Associates Insurance.

SUNY Fredonia faculty, staff, students and community members are invited to attend.  The event is free of charge and sponsored by Administration and FSA.

Fredonia appoints two associate provosts

The State University of New York at Fredonia announces the appointments of Dr. Judith Horowitz as associate provost for Graduate Studies, Sponsored Research and Faculty Development, and Dr. Lisa Hunter as associate provost for Curriculum, Assessment and Academic Support. Both have extensive experience in higher education administration as well as the Greater Buffalo region.

Fredonia adds former Cliffstar headquarters to enhance Start-Up NY appeal

The Fredonia College Foundation has been gifted the 25,000-square-foot office building that served as headquarters for the Cliffstar Corporation prior to its sale to The Cott Corporation in 2010. The facility, a gift of the Star Family, was formally appraised in late 2013 as having a value of $1.65 million. University officials hope it will greatly enhance Fredonia's appeal for potential Start-Up NY entrepreneurs.
