Bacon releases album of original jazz music

A new album of original jazz music by School of Music Adjunct Lecturer John Bacon, featuring his working quintet, “JBQ,” has been released on streaming services.

​The recording, “Revolution Blues” Jazz Dimensions Records CD0005, features adjunct School of Music faculty members Elliot Scozzaro (saxophone), Brendan Lanighan (trombone) and Ed Croft (bass).

Also supporting the recording were SUNY Fredonia alumni Jenna Rutowski (audio engineer), ’21, and Dylan Rohr (assistant engineer), ’23, both graduates of the Sound Recording Technology program.

The recording is available for purchase through Bandcamp and on streaming platforms including Spotify, Apple Music and Tidal.

Future performances by the group include the last Sunday of each month at Duende in Silo City, Buffalo, NY, and during 2024 at Pausa Art House and Shakti Yoga, both in Buffalo.
