Fredonia is participating in a SUNY Climate Survey to gather information about incidents of sexual and interpersonal violence and knowledge of related policies and resources available on campus.

The survey, administered to students and employees, occurs every other year in accordance with New York State Education Law Article 129-B and other SUNY policies.

The survey was available for all students, faculty, and staff starting on Thursday, Feb. 14 and continuing through March 18. The questionnaire should take about 10 to 15 minutes to complete, and participation is voluntary and confidential. Survey emails were sent directly from SUNY System Administration to Fredonia accounts.

Chief Diversity Officer and Director of the Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion William Boerner noted that it is important that students and employees consider completing the survey as responses will be helpful to influence training, policies, and the campus environment related to Title IX and non-discrimination.

For more information about the survey, including frequently asked questions and sample questions, please visit the Biennial SUNY Uniform Campus Climate Survey website.

Students and employees are asked to watch for email reminders for the campus climate survey email and to complete it during the allotted time.

For those with questions about the survey or the process, please contact the Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion at diversity.equityinclusion@fredonia.edu.
