Matthew Gioia, a graduate student in Music Performance from Carriere, Miss., will play several movements of Stephen Dankner’s Concerto for EB Alto Saxophone. Yejin Lee, a junior Music Performance major from Seoul, South Korea, will play the first movement of Rachmaninov’s Piano Concerto No. 2 in C minor.

Other works to be performed include Vaughan Williams’ Five Variants of “Dives and Lazarus” based on an old English folk tune; the majestic Symphony No. 2 “Mysterious Mountain” by Alan Hovhaness, and the energetic “Three Bavarian Dances” of Edward Elgar, which brings the program to a close.

The concert is free and open to the public. It will also be livestreamed.
