Fredonia State placed sixth in the men's team standings, highlighted by event wins, relay strength, and a balanced scoring profile across sprints, distance, and field events.
The distance highlight came from Stephen Hallberg, who won the 5,000 meters in 15:15.81, pulling away late to secure one of Fredonia State's two individual men's titles. Hallberg, a sophomore, won the SUNYAC men's cross country championship last fall.
The Blue Devils opened Saturday with a major relay victory, winning the 4x100 in 41.74 seconds behind the quartet of Jordan Lockett, Talon Rowland, Cam Sample, and Aiden VanAmburg. Lockett added a fifth-place finish in the 100 meters (10.81) and a fourth-place finish in the 200 (22.10), while Rowland delivered one of the team's top individual performances with a runner-up finish in the 400 meters at 48.96, an AARTFC qualifier.
Edward Jourden added a sixth-place finish in the 800 meters (1:58.56), and Kaden Worthley scored in the 1,500 with an eighth-place finish at 4:16.59.
The Blue Devils closed the running events with a strong second-place finish in the 4x400 relay, as VanAmburg, Rowland, Jourden, and Sample combined for a 3:20.25 AARTFC mark.
Fredonia State's field events produced some of the team's biggest moments of the meet. On Friday, Sample won the long jump with a school record of 7.41 meters, the top field performance of the weekend. Also Friday in the pole vault, Jacob Futch cleared 4.55 meters to take second, while Noah Snyder added a fifth-place finish at 4.25 meters. Blake Hageman tied for seventh at 3.80 meters.
