The 9th Fredonia Job & Internship Expo is scheduled for Wednesday, March 20 from noon to 3 p.m. in the Williams Center.

Hosted by the Career Development Office, the expo will bring to campus more than 75 organizations eager to discuss their potential job and internship openings with Fredonia candidates. Represented industries include business, media, financial services, health care, technology, health and human service agencies, government, law enforcement, retail management and many other fields, offering full- and part-time positions, summer jobs or internships.

Organizations scheduled to participate are based in Erie (N.Y.) and Chautauqua counties, as well as the Rochester, N.Y., area and throughout New York State. In addition, there will be out-of-state organizations headquartered in Texas, Maryland, Ohio, Florida and Pennsylvania.

The list of participating employers will be updated regularly as the event approaches, so students and alumni should be sure to check it out while preparing for the event. Many participating employers have donated door prizes for drawings that will take place after the expo.

The event is being held simultaneously with the Summer Job Expo, which will host local and regional employers seeking seasonal and summer job candidates. Again, students and alumni are asked to please check the current list of summer employers online for more information. Candidates seeking summer employment are encouraged to attend both events.

Nearly 100 employers in total will be on campus that day!

Attendees are strongly encouraged to dress professionally, bring several copies of their résumés or work portfolios, and come prepared by researching the employers and their industries before the event. Job postings from the employers attending will be available in FREDNetwork, the CDO’s job and internship posting database, located on the CDO website. Many organizations will schedule on-campus interviews before and after the event.

Organizers ask that students and alumni please contact the Career Development Office at 716-673-3327 or email with any questions.
