Applications are being accepted by the Marion International Fellowship for the Visual and Performing Arts, based at SUNY Fredonia through the Fredonia College Foundation, that supports an artistic journey through which a creative project is developed, using the resources of Marion Circle member organizations.

The deadline for receipt of materials is March 15.

The selected fellow(s) will demonstrate outstanding achievement and high professional potential in the arts. Preference is given to humanitarian projects that foster positive experiences and outcomes, and have the potential to stimulate initiatives that can inspire improvement of education, nutrition and healthcare. Successful projects tend to include more than one art form, and will involve community and audience engagement.

Applicants must be current or former affiliates of one or more Marion Circle member organizations, in roles such as artistic or professional staff, faculty, fellows or artists-in-residence.

The fellowship award is up to $18,000, which may be used for materials, travel expenses and technical or collaborative assistance, and includes a personal stipend up to $5,000.

The Marion International Fellowship was created to connect circle members who have been generously supported by Cathy and Jesse Marion. Marion Circle members include SUNY Fredonia, Chautauqua Institution, Ucross Foundation, Alley Theatre, Alberta University of the Arts and Springboard Schools of Egypt.
