The Fredonia School of Music and the Western New York Chamber Orchestra present “Reflections of Brahms” on Sunday, May 3 at 3 p.m. in King Concert Hall at SUNY Fredonia.
The School of Music and the Western New York Chamber Orchestra come together for this season’s Masterworks Scholarship Benefit Concert.
“Reflections of Brahms” takes place Sunday, May 3 at 3 p.m. in King Concert Hall at Rockefeller Arts Center. Featured are two works by the noted German composers: “Four Songs” and “A German Requiem.”

The concert features WNYCO, led by Conductor Glen Cortese; Fredonia Camarata Choir, prepared by Lecturer Brent Weber; and the Masterworks Chorus, prepared by Dr. Vernon Huff, who is Director of Choral Studies.
Brahms (1833-1897) was a 19th century composer and pianist who was considered a master of symphonic and chamber music. He was known for blending elements of the Romantic style within traditional classic structures.
Tickets are $25 for the general public. Student tickets are free, if acquired in advance. All ticket proceeds go directly to music scholarships, thanks to a generous gift from an anonymous donor.
